I'm building a choke input filter power supply (L-C) using a full wave rectifier.

I'm planning on putting the choke in the CT return lead followed by the current meter.

My 1958 handbook has a short section on negative lead filtering, and I assume that there is no difference in PS operation (except low voltage applications.....) by using negative lead filtering.  The paragraph tends to indicate such, but I'd like to confirm.

Any gotchas etc I need to look out for?
