ARRL Handbook says a ballpark estimate of secondary current ratings is to load a secondary to where it's 10% down from the no-load voltage.

If you have a 12 VAC filament/control transformer then hook it up to the primary winding and the secondary voltages should be 10% of their rated values.

If you have a HV capable volt meter, do a resistor test load to check for a voltage drop

Might anyone have a  Western Electric catalog with the specs for a KS 8879 power transformer?   I can find nothing on the web.

I know the HV secondary is 800-640-0-640-800, and I'd like to know the current spec.

Thanks
