In case it hasn’t been said before, it’s been my experience that most – if not nearly all – of the “Micamold” B+ and screen bypass capacitors in these sets are leaky, if not actually shorted. I certainly wouldn’t supply plate voltage to the set without at least an ohmmeter check from the B+ bus to ground.
