And there is an LM sitting to the right of the two TCS’s.

By the time that I moved to Houston 9 years later, all of the equipment in the space had disappeared.  The only radio set left in the Reserve Center  by 1973 was one of those RCA 4-channel SSB units.  I can’t say for certain but the space shown could have become the Admin area of the Houston Reserve Center. The space appears to be larger than most of the class rooms were there.

Is that the only photo of the Houston Reserve Center that you found?  It is impossible to say for sure but it is remotely possible that I might actually have one of the two TCS’s shown in the photo.  Stranger things have happened.  Shortly after moving to Houston in September, 1973, I bought a TCS-14 from someone whose name I don’t recall.  The receiver and transmitter were stacked like those are, had a similar set of conduit type cables and did not have the upper pair of anti-sway shock mounts at top rear just as those don’t.  Which type of power supply they have is hidden by the two RM’s seated in front of the radios.  I don’t recall ever knowing where the previous owner got the set.  At the time of the photo, I had probably just joined the Naval Reserve as an RMSA and was living in a small town in North Louisiana.

Photo - lots of familiar gear - I like the lead-in for the TCS sets
