I've updated my page on the CDA-T crystal control module which
included a simple 5 wire installation of the chassis. Additional
info is included on proper crystals, crystal current evaluation,
tuning the module, tips on the 837 filament circuit, and tips on
running the set on CW without the 811s. The low frequency section
is also discussed as well as the "extended range" switch. BTW if
your CDA-T chassis has the low frequency oscillator section you can
simply plug it into your transmitter without any modification.
A link is provided to the CDA-T Crystal Control installation
guide courtesy of WA5CAB.
The CDA-T chassis is an interesting modification and can plug
up that hole in the front of your transmitter. It also provides
proper loading for the 837 oscillator filament.
