Interesting, to say the least.
How about these ideas that came to mind?
We live in relative +15psi. Pumping to 0 is -15psi.
OK...
Venus is +1350psi. What happens when we hit 0 there? -1350psi? Still
a chamber, still a pump, still 0.
Relative to the ambient pressure on Venus, it would be -1 atmosphere.
Relative to what we're familiar with locally, it would be minus 90 times
more.
One could say that only one atmosphere is pressing on the outside, +15
on earth, +1350 on Venus, but, the sealed chamber isn't only interacting
with the atmosphere pushing from the outside, it's also the inside being
draw out, with incredible force, which could be tens, hundreds, or
thousands times more. That atmosphere, whatever it may be, just happens
to surround the chamber.
All that is just assuming 1:1 from inside, to outside. What if we just
forget psi, here, there, or elsewhere, and just pump from +1 to -1
atmosphere, wherever? Yeah, on Venus, we'd pump more, of a higher
destiny atmosphere, just to hit zero, but that zero is nearly -1/2 ton
by our measurements.
We can be sure I'll play with this, and see what happens, I just can't
say, or even guess, when. I have a lot of the bits, maybe even all,
just not set up to play.
