TBX also has radium on the thumbwheel knobs. If that bothers you. Doesn't bother me much, as i survived a motorcycle crash, being sucked into rapids in a small boat, playing games with HV transformers, and so on. Maybe, i hope, i am a "survivor" type. But i would not sleep next to a TBX nor have it right on my desk. The rat that sees his buddies' heads caught in traps, learns.

I wonder about radium on early TBY. The ones with the 2 panel lights in the upper corners. I'm hoping those early ones didn't have radium. ( Reminder to self: fix that PDR-27. )

I would certainly NOT junk any of this gear because of radiumphobia. You have no problem shipping it around USA and probly Canada. I would however NOT ship anything like this to Europe. I suspect it MIGHT be checked and then maybe seized and then you're out of luck.

Wasn't there an account of R-390A recs stored outside for over a year, all with those "deadly" meters removed, so the weather could decrease their value ? Another example of Your Tax Dollars At Work.
