I am writing to ask for information on this HF Linear amplifier. My
brother is a ham and collected all sorts of stuff over his ham career.
He is now hospitalized and I am trying to clear out his house so it can
be sold. He will never be going back to his house.  There is all sorts
of military radio stuff. Much of it is in not so great shape, but I was
over there today and stumbled over a small enclosure. When I picked it
up I was very impressed to see a 3.5 to 30 MHz compact amplifier made
with really great components. It said Delcon and listed Palo Alto as the
address. I did some digging and found that this was an amplifier made by
Hewlett Packard for the Air Force in 1961 for use with MARS stations in
Vietnam. It was designed to run with the REL  (Radio Engineering Labs)
S-119 (Collins Clones) and the Collins S-line. As found it looks like
the RF deck is all there except for the three 4CX250B tubes. (I have
some new spares) The power supply, a separate unit,  is also missing. It
is small and compact and I wonder if this is something that might have
value. I know that REL made about 1000 S-line clones, the S-119 system.
I have a few of them here. They are rare but do not seem to be of much
value.  I am curious if this amp (complete with beautiful vacuum
variables and a vacuum TX relay) is something that might be worth
something. In a few short weeks the house will be dumpsterized by a
cleaning crew and all junk will go in the scrap yard or land fill.

Any ideas? Junk or treasure?
