I have such a front panel for the ARR-15 which I got from W5OR (sk).  The ARR-15 is one of my favorite receivers, much under appreciated, IMHO.  Others are the SRR-13 and the FRR-23.  Both are somewhat different receivers before the first oscillator but identical after.  Subminiature tubes seems to scare people off.Jim

Re unrealistic prices, here's a little story. Probably no point to this story. At a Rickreall OR swap maybe a decade ago, i saw a Command Set transmitter with a heatsink attached to the top front. I thought, "Now there's a 'conversion' i hadn't seen before." However, the seller would not come down on price, and i wouldn't budge either, and i'm positive no one else at thd event saw it as as anything but part of the underbrush. I am guessing its next stop is metal recycling, whether that next step is weeks or years. If i could relive that event, i would have to think again about that thing. Might be worth the unrealistic price just to see what's inside, and we're not talking about a box the size of an RBC. I remember now i saw at Rickreall the "Tektronix employees group project" conversion of an ARR-15. The problem for me was, the original rec is narrow and deep format, and the new front panel made it both wide and deep. Where are you going to find as cabinet for that ? It WAS very nicely done. No sale at hamfest. Next it showed up on Ebay, some commercial Ebay seller, at some unrealistic but not insane price. No sale. I wonder what happens to such radios. Where do they crawl off to die ? I actually was given a Tek shop produced front panel for this project, but of course no one wants to take on a project like that nowadays. -Hue Miller
