 Charlie, is amfone.net the website you're thinking of? If so, that has been a very difficult site to access for the last several months.

This forum is still going, but very few postings, occasionally something gets posted that stirs it up for a while, then goes back silent:  amradio at mailman.qth.net  There are a lot of knowledgeable old timers hiding out on there still.

I think there is a website associated with this but can't find it now.
