This reminds me. Around 1973 i was working nights at the U.S. Post Office. God, what a killing grind that was.
I was taking some music lessons during the day. Who needs to get rest, after all ? I was getting on a Seattle 
bus, carrying an ART-13 manual - i have zero idea now why i would venture anywhere carrying such manual.
The bus driver somehow spotted the manual and told me about how he was flying, i think some kind of ASW
aircraft, off California coast and he raised Honolulu on the radio, which was ART-13 and maybe ARR-15 
receiver. Of course, for us, that is not really any DX record.
