I remember working in a surplus store in Seattle and seeing WW2 T-R tubes
with the box stamped "SLAP THE JAPS". I know some ppl collect artistic
tube boxes from the mid and late 1930s. I wonder if some of these boxed
WW2 special tubes, like lighthouse or TR survived. 
I also remember a couple years earlier in electronics school, somehow
getting across the B+ voltage of a 2K25. One of those occasions where you
just have to step aside and think and lecture yourself.
