I do not have a pic of the radioman's .30 cal 'Stinger'  variation machine
gun which was rearward facing and behind him.  He could traverse it, but
only could aim basically level and down.  The Stinger had a higher rate of
fire than a normal .30, and ground troops in the Pacific Theater comshawed
them, installed homemade wooden stock, and carried and used them with great
effectiveness.  There was one Marine honored with the CMH, credited with
saving many men with his Stinger.
