MarkGood morning I have a BC 221 and it’s a T model made by Zenith. What manufacturer made your BC to 211? I’ll try to confirm what you’re asking but it may be different on the T model, incidentally I have a friend that’s converting the 221 tubes over to solid state these are just plug in modules and there is no permanent modifications everything can be switched back put the tubes back in. Add the power supply back in and then everything will work perfectly. But the nice thing is it will operate off of three 9V batteries which makes it a lot more portable and easy to use out in the field.MikeW1ZFB

Last year i attended the "Beseda auction' near Portland OR. There were 5 RBM receivers and a switchbox BUT none of the receivers had a cabinet AND there simply was an oversupply of radios for the relatively small crowd of buyers. The RBMs did not sell and i do not know their fate. There were other radios with no cabinet to be found, like a HRO-60 i found, and some military Nationals and so forth, a friend got. Is this a good way to lead your life, i thought; to be disorganized, have an irrational number of unfinished projects, and leave a huge mess for others.
At a hamfest i bought an RBM-hf and homebrew ACPS just for the PS
part. I sold the HF and kept the nicely done PS just to check out the several MF receivers i have, which will all have to go. I sort of fear a huge decline in the value of these things. The younger peoples' lives i think, just revolve around that little phone - computer.

Howdy
I just scored a pair of RBM receivers at a hamfest and need to make up power supply cables.
Anybody got a couple of stray connectors around that they'd part with?
If so, drop me a note at quixote2 at ix.netcom.com
Thanks,
Tom Adams, W9LBB

Hello
I have a BC-221 whose ID plate says BC-221E. It is not an E variant.
>From the tubes, front panel controls, and TM11-300, I think it's the AK
variant.
Looking at the front panel, what is supposed to be behind the two antenna
connectors?
I tried discerning it from TM11-300. I think it's supposed to be a 150 H
Choke (Part 24) in parallel with a 0.01 uF cap (Part 0-2). Can anyone
confirm?
Thanks
Mark K3MSB

We have a 221AK down at the museum. If you don't get any info before tomorrow, I could open it up & have a look.
