I made a large topo map composed of 4 usgs quad maps covering from the fairgrounds to Jim Thorpe including Beltsville Lake. The Red Ball MVPA Show will be September 26th and 27th and the MRCA will have there annual military radio show and field operation on that weekend.
Starting Thursday the 25th some of us will be getting on site and setting up down in the Howell building so you can arrive early or just show up for the field nets on Friday and the show and tell on Saturday. Between the on air
operations of both local nets and distant nets and the opportunity to set up and show equipment this may be one of the biggest and best events of its kind on the East coast, the Red Ball vehicle show and swap meet is always worth  going to while your there
 to play radio.

See:
https://redballonline.org/

For a video of last years event :

Proposed radio nets for Friday:
14:00 - 15:00 pm   5357 kHz USB  NCS at Beltzville Lake.  (5371.5 kHz alternate) Participating stations can introduce themselves and describe their equipment, their location and their afternoon operating plans.   Out of area stations are
welcome to check in. typical operation includes around ten backpack, portable or mobile stations and several distant stations all taking part.

See W2HX Video at:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=192TwNad_QU

15:15 – 16:00 pm   3885 kHz AM/USB     (3875 kHz alternate) This is a low power AM or SSB net intended for older WW2 vintage backpack, handheld (BC-611) and similar stations and tends to push the range for small radios and  with stations
operating from the show all the way over to Beltzvill  lake.

16:15 - 16:45 pm   3570 CW  Slow Speed   (<10 WPM) We need someone to step up and assume NCS for this net, otherwise it’s the same as above.

16:00 - 17:00 pm   51 MHz FM  (Old Squelch, no tone) Will also be using 51 MHz to monitor for announcements and coordinate between stations.

And if that’s not enough we will also have some ad-hoc nets at the Howell building on Friday night. In the past we have opps on 51.0 FM, 144.25 AM and anything else anyone wants to fire up! Think what ever radio you bring out there will
be people who can get on the air and have a QSO.

Saturday:
09:00 – 10:00     7087 USB RTTY Net.

So here it is, an opportunity to both show and operate your radio in the field with others who are doing the same. A big advantage of this event is that you are allowed to camp on site at no additional charge and a number of us do. In addition
to showing and operating your gear sales of radio equipment are also permitted on site but by agreement with Red Ball you are not allowed to sell any vehicle parts.

Is there a some sort of itinerary listed for the radio group’s presentations /discussions as well as any planned On-air Nets for this year?
