>Many moon’s ago when I spent 5 1/2 years in the US Canal Zone, Panama. The US Army had the School of the Americas which many military subjects were taught to the Latin American countries. Communications was one subject and it was mostly WWII/Korea era equipment plus Collins S-Line And KWM-2A’s. The US Air Force had the Inter-American Air Force Academy with a similar mission. I do know that they taught maintenance and repair of the BC-348 and ART-13 plus the Collins S-Line and KWM-2A’s as well. The US Navy had a similar school (I don’t remember the name). I know that they tought then TCS equipment. Some of it would end up in the military surplus system and then to the Army MARS system. As far as the TCS is concerned I did see quite a lot of RCVR’s and XMTR’s, but no PWR SPLY’s in the system. I had 2 very nice RCVR’s a black TCS-12 (was in class A pack when I got it) and a grey TCS-10. I made a 19” rack panel for the TCS-10 (Painted black) and used it in my Radio Section as time hack RCVR and occasional AFRTS monitor. The TCS-12 eventually made it’s way to a high schooler who used it as his first Novice RCVR.
