I have a Carver car radio, ca. about 1985, which models TX-7 and TX-9 were totally recalled when the cassette section jammed. Built by Eton,
save that fact into your database. The radio covered LW, MW, 49 meters SW, and FM, with a diversity FM antenna at front antenna and back
window. The radio actually works pretty well. I saw these about 10 years later at a store in Bellevue,WA, Vetco. I was surprised that new boxed
receivers were $90, considering their bad track record and no warranty info given. I chose 3 used units with tags attached that read, "Cassette
jammed" or similar, cuz i figured that the cassette i could live without and the problem was not likely to be in the receiver itself. By now, some
of the segments of the display are going away. Otherwise it's a great sounding radio. But Carver messed up. What use was LW in NA, and the
49 meter band was more a Europe thing than worldwide.
