About 6 years ago I did for an engine harness.

I built a custom table, ran the wires, secured them with waxed webbing 
every 1-3", then sheathed in polyamide, fiberglass, some areas with 
friction tape, and more webbing, some gold aluminized heat shielding in 
critical areas, and some areas in a combination of all that, plus two 
layers of contra-wound spiral teflon wrap.

The critical application?

An '03 For Taurus SE.
