The separation is why in past emails I've suggested laying it flat in the refrigerator, in a ziplock bag. Same thing happened to me, and reducing the head pressure seemed to solve it. But there is a better version of it out now, one that uses a much more modern thickener made of polyeurea - same Mobil company. It's called Mobil SHC Polyrex 102 EM (EM stands for electric motor). I got a tube of that four years ago and it will protect your dyno bearings even better than the SHC-100. It's come down in price - about $14 on Amazon.
Keep in mind that some later dynos may use permanently sealed bearings, so you won't need to/cannot repack them. :-)

Hi Mark,
Mobilith SHC 100 has been recommended several times in the past several years. I tried it with success over 20years ago but in those days it tended to separate in storage. I bought a new tube a couple of years ago and the new one has not leaked red oil, thank goodness.
Hope this helps.
