IMHO:
At our age, Hue, "Less is more."
We have nothing more important
than our TIME, which enables
or impedes everything else.
Do you care enough about this radio
and the enjoyment of unlocking the
puzzle-box of getting it on-the-air
to expend many of the precious,
irreplaceable clock tics you have left?
There is no shame or blame here-
they are your clock tics. Each of
us must make his own decision on
what is worth the price,
and what should be passed along.
Moreover, each time we hand-off
one of these projects, we vanish
the worry and guilt about our delay
and gain more peace and more
"clock tics" to spend on what
we really enjoy.
Like our grand kids.
How I wish I had realized that
when I was young! "Too much
stuff," be it radios, fishing gear
or baseball cards, becomes a
ticking clock of worry and
woe around our necks, heavier
each time we add more "stuff"
and heavier still as the years
go by with the puzzle-boxes
unsolved. At our age,
those tics are becoming the
loudest sound in the universe.
Less is more...
