[Milsurplus] Voltage regulator question

Hey all,

Figured I would ask here first before trying the Watkins Johnson group
directly.  The WJ-8718A has a voltage regulator marked as a LM340AKC-15.
Now, I understand that the 'K' designation specifies that it's a TO-3
package, and the 'A' is the improved version, so a tighter tolerance, but
for the life of me I cannot find anything that denotes what the 'C' is (or
it may be a 'KC'?).  Is anyone familiar with this designation and what it
specifies?  I'm trying to find a replacement and hoping I didn't just
stumble on another piece of unobtanium.
