A lot of there collection is being dispersed to other museums like the SCR-270 and the SCR-584 Last time I was there about six months ago it appeared that about half there collection was going other places, they had a real old model 14 tape teleprinter that was in a wooden case that I wanted to play teletype with but INFO Age up in New Jersey got that.
Because they are a professional organization with full time employees this entire transition was not something just thrown together at the last minute or poorly planed so many of the artifacts are being returned, distributed or moved to there new location. This is not one of those things where they lock the doors and walk away.
Looking forward to the sale this weekend, one thing I saw on the listing is a Norden Bombsight, remember that they had a couple last time I was there and looks like they are willing to part with one now. Don't think I have ever seen one up for sale anywhere before this.

Ray,

I had read, maybe on a plaque on the SCR-270 itself, that that RADAR was THE unit on Opana Point on Dec 7, 1941 that detected the approaching Japanese aircraft. I'm wondering if that got moved to the new QTH. It would be a shame if it gets misplaced again.
