[Milsurplus] Last days of Fair Radio Sales and June specials

I agree – I have been buying from them since the late 50’s. Got a lot of great bargains. Been at the old location numerous times, but not since they moved. Bought some of their closing offerings and very pleased. Phil even looked for some special items I was looking for and sent me pictures of the items he found. Shipping is less than most eBay sellers ask for the same volume and weight. It is sad that they are closing after 75 years of great service to the radio community. Phil and I were both born in ’45 and I retired in 2016. Time for Phil to get some much deserved rest. 73 – Mike

Fair Radio never shipped crap! They may have been pricey on certain things, but in the average, they were competitive. Their shipping cost was the real cost with no padding or add ons. Their packing was well done.

I have been doing business with Fair for about 55 years, and I never got shorted by them.

I will miss them. Thank you Phil Sellati and whole Sellati family for helping a bunch of radio enthusiast achieve their dreams!

The Dayton hamfest will not be the same without visiting Fair Radio!

Best, Francesco K5URG

Gathering the size and weight details for their entire inventory would be a daunting task. But in hindsight it would have somewhat more practical to enter this info for each item that was added for sale on the website.

I must point out that Fair Radio has never gouged me on shipping. As a "trader" in such gear I am generally aware of shipping costs and they were always within my expectations. If memory serves, everything was always packed well and arrived OK, and when I checked what was charged for the shipping it was OK (or even seemed low).

I am now in Hawaii and have made several web purchases from Fair Radio of small radios, parts, and accessories. In the "comments" field on the order I wrote that USPS Ground Advantage is the most reasonable and often fastest shipping to Kauai, and they took my suggestion each time and the costs were as I expected.
