I couldn't really figure that out either. It weighs 69 lbs. Sure it has a built-in power supply, but 
so what? IMHO, ALL military, but especially Navy, receivers were unnecessarily heavy.

Yes.... when rack-mounted. Normally never used when table-mounted.

Not at all.

Absolutely yes.

No. Fairly easy, as a matter of fact. At least I found them so when I was much younger.

Yes. Sometimes you may need an interconnect cable, but I never had to use one.
