Yes, the RAS has issues with images! With a 175 kHz IF and no IF filtering beyond tuning they are pronounced. Strong signals like CHU can present a problem. But not had any issue ever using one for AM or CW on the Ham bands. The image is still far enough off the scale so once you are use to using the receiver you don't notice them, least I don't. For a 82 year old radio its allowed to have its foibles. It's a surprisingly sensitive, quiet and with the Noise Limiter kit good radio to use on forty and eighty meters AM and I have tried to work with it on CW but I am the weakest link at that point.
