[Milsurplus] [MMRCG] WWII German Torn E.b. Receiver

I always used an external amplifier when driving a loud speaker, that radio has a high impedance output that would drive a pair of headphones well but a low impedance speaker may be an issue. Easy to drive the audio stage into distortion when trying to get too much out of it.

Subject: [MMRCG] WWII German Torn E.b. Receiver

The Torn E.b. regen receiver is playing- sorta.
This poor radio didn't just get "The Golden Screwdriver."
Some gorilla beat it with the whole "Golden Toolbox."

Bands 7 and 8 are doing OK.
The other coil assemblies are wrecked.
I have a set of most of the coil assemblies coming.
Got to remove the Antenna Trimmer-
it's shorting through most of its range and this receiver needs it set properly. Most controls on this receiver need to be "just so."

The audio output also needs to be matched properly.
I have a "guess my rating" speaker transformer wired-in and it runs a speaker with modest volume. Gotta find a 70 Line-To-Voice-Coil transformer and see what's best.

This set is missing the internal sheilds, but it seems to work OK without them.
