Nick England has also quickly schooled me on the “digital” word :-)
"Optical Projection" is where I was initially trying to go
and roger on the Montgomery Ward and Airlie “Movie Dial” civilian radios
also thanks to Robert Lozier of AWA there were Marti civilian set with Veeder Root dial but not projection- http://uv201.com/Radio_Pages/Twenties/marti_console.htm
Maybe I should expand this presentation a bit.
