[Milsurplus] [Glowbugs] ARRL's ransom payment

The ARRL email i received did not go into a lot of detail on the hack, so i don't know how "very serious" is read as "very sophisticated".
Of course, all hacks are sophisticated.
Someone in China or more likely, USSR or E Europe is celebrating this month. Their retirement funds are made.
I am reminded that at one time, banks and mail trains were ripe for the plucking, until countermeasures were finally in place.
I am very interested in learning whether it was a mistaken action by some ARRL employee, or a built in fault of the systems.

If you read the official announcement, the cyberattack was VERY sophisticated.

Rather than attacking the staff for not having a perfectly impenetrable system, consider the foresight of having insurance against disaster.
