[Milsurplus] 2 things, Fair Radio and Bomar

The Fair Radio auction is in pre bid mode right now.  I have one issue in that you have to provide a credit card up front, including your security code, and the only way to be removed from the auction companies data base...ever, is to write them, USPS mail it to them requesting your information and credit card date be deleted from the computers.

Bomar...they actually ran an ad in QST a couple years ago after ICM's demise advertising crystals for ham use.  I called the sales desk within a couple weeks, and the people I talked to had absolutely no idea what I was talking about, had never heard of Amateur Radio.  When I finally got to someone with a modicum of crystal and Bomar company knowledge, I found out one crystal would cost $100 with several weeks of lead time.  There was a quantity discount so anybody thinking of a Bomar crystal may want to advertise here, AMPHONE or QTH looking for others needing the same freq. and ordering in quatity There was a Brit company a while back, Quartzslab producing crystals almost as inexpensively as ICM, but I can not find them on the internet now.
