eBay has recently cropped up a number of listings for
"Naval Communications Systems" by Louis Piollet Spear...

This is one of those "we found a pdf on line and will sell you a printed
copy for $$" deals. The pdf is a 1947 thesis from the Naval Postgraduate
School and can be found at
