WWII MAB-DAV-DAV2 Evolution.
I'm not the MAB Comm / DAV DFer expert.
Sharing photos of this stuff I have,
hoping someone might chime-in with insights.
Regular MAB set many of you will recognize:

However, there is an unusual marking on the top
of this MAB:

There is an adaptor which fits between the
MAB top and the MAB Battery/RF Unit case
which converts the MAB into a
Direction-Finding DAV:

In this photo, the MAB top (right) will be
fitted on top of the DAV adaptor (left):

The MAB five-pin battery connector stowes
in the recess just above the middle of the
adaptor.
In this photo, the MAB top is attached to the
DAV adaptor and the vibrator pack is installed.
To the left, one can see that an RF unit with
an extra 6-pin connector would be used. I do
not have one of these original DAV RF units:

The original DAV unit assembled:

I don't know why the DAV was repackaged into
the DAV-2, but it is a tougher build and doesn't
require the "special" RF unit. I have two fairly
complete and one "parter." I have done no
work on getting them operational.

All of this is available as one lot in trade
for a clean/complete/unmolested AN/TRC-7
plus a bit of help with shipping.
