[Milsurplus] RA-16 power supply

Good Morning, 
The recent discussion of the RAS receiver reminded me that I had a power supply in the jumble that looked similar to that for the RAS.
This is designated RA-16 by the Signal Corps, and was made by Sylvania in 1935. Some poor photos are attached. What equipment was this used with? 
Does anyone need it? Many of the original parts are missing thanks to a previous owner.
