[Milsurplus] [MMRCG] Navy RAS Receiver - Better Audio Fidelity?

I have somewhere in my stash a grey overhauled TBY. As i continue downsizing, i will eventually get to it. 
I want so much to go over it with a counter. I am so curious how they approached the radium paint concern,
or if they did at all ! Not a job i would want, i mean stripping and repainting it. 
( I also saw one a fellow ham had repainted. I didn't say anything, i just thought, "OOOOOOOH". )
