[Milsurplus] BC-669 in German HQ

Hello all and a shout out of ‘Thank You for all you have sacrificed’ to my veteran Brothers. 

  This morning, I was watching a program on the Military Heros Channel about the timeline of events leading up to the second world war in Europe. I was very surprised to learn that during the re-occupation of the Rhineland, Adolf’s radioman was listening to updates from the field on a black BC-669-B(?). Now I was always under the impression that the rig was  introduced in the U.S. probably around 1943, & made by Hallicrafters, among others. The xtal chart card and the P.A. Tuning door were missing, no doubt a security measure made by the Germans. 

   Oh well, I HAVE given up yelling at the TV when two American GI’s are carrying on good commo using a BC-611 & BC-1000....
