[Milsurplus] Motorola/General Dynamics CM-400UR

Hello All,This is probably a long shot but here goes. I recently obtained another UHF receiver 225-399.975 MHz built by Motorola.  It looks almost new, receives great but has one glaring problem.  The squelch adjustment potentiometer was not installed on the circuit board, hence no ability to control the level at which signals pass through.
Would there be anyone on the list who has experience with these units and might be able to install a control on the circuit board?(certainly does not have to be original, just something that functions)  Of, course any help would be greatly appreciated.
