G'day all,
based in Switzerland and, while being Swiss, still a native German speaker, I would like to add to this thread:
Both these expressions refer to "zero beat" in English (as supported by the two entries in "Dictionary of Electronics, Communications and Electrical Engineering", H. Wernicke, sponsored by Rhode & Schwarz, 1964). A "Schwebung" is a beat (tone) and "Luecke" means gap i.e. when the beat (tone) disappears. "Null" does not need explanation.
Hopefully this clarifies the meaning and please do not hesitate to ask me questions regarding other such expressions found in manuals. And yes, Google translate is not always right in these cases.
