[Milsurplus] Duracell Coppertop batteries

FWIW:

All of the leaking AA Duracell batteries I have were made in the USA. I think the place they were made is less important than the design and QC (or lack thereof).

sincerely,

John:

Had the same problem and switched to Eveready or Ray-O-Vac with no leaks so far. I’ve had I don’t know how many devices damaged by Duracell batteries. I now take the batteries out when something isn’t going to be used on a daily basis.

As far as the Eveready Lithium batteries, I’ve had some for over 6 years and no leaks and are holding their charge quite well.

sincerely,

Hi all,

Don’t know if anyone else is having a problem with these, but put a set of new ones in my Simpson 260 last summer and just found that they have leaked. Will have to replace the contacts as they are fairly well eaten. Had a problem with them years ago and stopped using them. Heard that they had gotten better, so got some at COSCO and now wish I hadn’t. Back to Eveready or Energizers I guess. Just thought I should let you all know.
