In complete agreement, Hue.
While I applaud that they bucked the trend
(or orders?) of filling every other line
with gratuitous sewage-mouth, the portrayal
of Humanity as racist, genocidal monsters
(save a very few fellow southern-Californian
"enlightened" types) and Marines as
mindless murder machines- likely a result
of the director's fever dreams of Vietnam
after watching "Apile-o-crap Now"-
and their subsequent "righteous" slaughter,
I found more than repellent.
As you said- a 14-year-old, given
their manipulation by the
K-12 Indoctrination Camp, will eat it up.
Actual Adults (becoming scarce)
who have suffered and seen
suffering and death, not so much.
