Think they are running Harris R-2368 receivers, don't know about the transmitter.

Today, December the 23rd at 9:45 or about this morning NJ2BB the Battleship New Jersey (BB-62) was active on the MMRCG RATT Net. Other stations participating in today's net included N3KCB, K3TZJ, KA4RSZ, W1AEA, WA3GFZ, K8WXQ, KA3EKH and K4NYW as NCS.

First transmissions from the ship were a bit hectic being they were reversed but subsequent transmissions were all Normal and solid, at least at my QTH.

Communications originated from the message handing room on the New Jersey using original restored ASR28 teleprinters, CV-2460 and URA-17 encoders and decoders, Harris receivers and transmitters and the ships original antennas.

Jeff and the crew over on the ship have completed much work in getting the systems up and running again, a maze of patches and cross connections made difficult by the original ships de-milling process.

Think there next project is to get one of the larger “High Power” transmitters on line next.

As always I know and maybe speak for some others of us also that we are proud to see anyone go thru this work and get systems up in running that has not been used in decades.
