[Milsurplus] Radio Set AN/ARR-8

Can anyone identify where (which aircraft) the AN/ARR-8 receiver would have
been used? It looks to be post WWII and from what little I have been able
to learn it offers a "rapid means of locating and measuring the frequency
of enemy signals which are on for a very short interval of time". Perhaps
B-36? Idera or direction of where to look appreciated.
