Here is a boat radio built in Seattle WA in the early 1950s. Some readers will recognize many parts as coming from war surplus military radio
production. PAR went out of business in pretty short order, probably no later than 1955. Some of their ads ran in the back of Pacific Fisherman
magazine. ( If you have any copies, or know where there are original paper issues available, please let me know ! ) Way back in PSARA history,
there was a fellow from Bremerton who had worked for PAR. Unfortunately, i never followed up this opportunity and i failed to interview him.
When i opened up the radio, i was surprised to see 2 rather unique tubes, the dualtriode 815, in the RF PA and modulator seats. The radio is
crystal controlled transmit 2 MHz marine band and tunable in two bands over 0.54 to 7 MHz. The PS is a "Command Sets" dynamotor base .
Supply is 32 volts. I assume the "35" means 35 watts input.
