Navy RBS ( = RBM HF ) was mentioned. 
I think it's a shame this $1000 each cost, high quality constructed receiver did not have
a better reduction on the tuning rate. The tuning rate on 20 and  19 meters bands and
above is abysmal. I still have around 5 of the RBM - MF receivers. The tuning rate on those 
is decent, as the overall coverage is only 1800 kHz in the 4 bands. 

I recall around 1975 John Nelson and i bought some of these receivers from a place at 
Lake Union, Seattle, that was refurbing ex Navy ships to processing ships for the Alaska
fish trade. There were AC supplies with the receivers, and cables, and everything worked
right off the bat, same day as we bought them.
