I have a one or two of these mod kits in unopened boxes around here somewhere also.  I think Fair Radio still sells them.  I knew a fellow that actually installed the kits in the receivers way back when he was in the Navy, he was not impressed with their effectiveness.  I had, until I sold it at a hamfest this year, a spare TCS receiver I kept around for parts that had the mod kit in it.  In this case, either an idiot or a sailor that did not care installed it, as he drilled the hole for the switch right through the left side of the name plate.
