[Milsurplus] B24 Stuff

Sadly, we're stuck in a misleading paradigm when it comes to pricing
this old stuff. People look at Ebay *listing* prices, where someone
with, as you say "stars in their eyes" who've listened to "experts" take
this to be the "right price," which then re-enforce each other in this
fantasy pricing, never thinking that the proper place to look for
pricing ideas is in the Ebay *SOLD* list, where things get the "hot air"
let out of them pretty fast. Hamfests and ham-sale web pages aren't
much help unless you just want to give these type items away to get them
out of your garage, but even then you'll take most of it back home.

These poor mislead folks will relist the items a few times, never
reducing the fantasy prices, wondering why they can't retire on the
proceeds as the "That's RARE!! It's worth a Zillion Bucks!" doofuss
said, then toss them in the dump rather than take any valid advice. I
expect this large lot to meet that fate.

With today's vanishingly small demand for this gear and the abundant
supply of most of it, I think the gentleman would be lucky to get
1200 bucks for every bit of it. I think anymore, you'd be hard-pressed
to count the people who honestly care to do anything constructive with
this gear (other than stack it up on top of their other 300 wrecks
they're going to "get around to")
in all the world on your fingers and toes.

Sad, but there it is...
