About a decade or so ago, I was working on a command set transmitter.
I had it running well electrically, but needed to do some mechanical
work on it. So I pulled the tubes,

Put it back together, and the transmitter had low power out,
was unstable and way off frequency.

Turns out I had swapped the 1626 and 1629.

The eye tube will oscillate, but poorly.
