Sad day indeed.  My heart grieves for the families and friends of those who perished.
With regard to reenactment, I think it is unlikely that these two particular aircraft would ever be in the same combat airspace at the same time.
Upon viewing the video that shows the aircraft prior to impact, I conclude that the apparently large speed difference between the two aircraft lead to the situation where the King Cobra pilot could not react fast enough to avoid the collision.  Just my two cents worth. Mike W6MAB
