Granted, the Rickreal Oregon hamfair is one of the modest sized ones.
I had a table with an RAL, an NBS-1 ( NC-183 special ) needing a power transformer,
and a lot of free magazines. No one looked twice at the 2 receivers. No one took any
magazines. At the end of the hamfair, I gave the receivers to a young fellow. 

I sold a BG-174 antenna kit for GRC-9 on Ebay recently. I had a very low starting bid.
Somehow, Ebay's calculated shipping charge to the potential bidder was about twice
the actual real shipping cost. Result, most viewers suffered sticker shock. One bid took
the antenna kit for $5.00    By the time I realized how it was trending, it was too late
and I could not cancel. I learned from that ! So this was basically a charity, and due to the 
size of the box I had to use, I charity I should not, would not have chosen to take on.
