I came across this term in an eBay photo showing an antenna diagram of
USS Ranger in 1934. I presumed it meant a multicoupler of some sort.

Google led me to an interesting 1941 article on wartime communications
monitoring by NBC broadcasting. That antennaplex installation combines
feeds from multiple antennas (dipoles for various bands) and feeds a
single 1500' coax which then runs to four AR-77 receivers.

Most references to Antennaplex are for a system used for TV
reception/distribution.
