Nav, or Comm, depending on the capabilities of the radio, from ~108-137
MHz. Also, anyone on the ground in a vehicle, or in a craft, without a
"mobile" airband transceiver, and anyone involved in support, service,
or communicating with anyone, or anything else within the air service,
for just about any purpose, then there's all the light, sport, hobby
craft... Whatever you can think of radio-wise, also applies here, even
the same types of equipment, just a different band/service. The biggest
advantage to airband HTs is they can be moved about, and cost a tiny
fraction of a fixed radio that can't, for example, ~$200 for an entry
level HT, and $1k-$2k for a fixed/mobile.
