I got an email with a question about the Germany auction. I thought I would answer to the larger readership. I have no experience with the seller, altho I have been aware of them for
some years as sellers of traditional and higher - end militaria collectibles, like unforms, swords, awards, that kind of thing. They do have a good name. The present auction, I have not
looked at it very much at all, and I have more pressing things right now, so I likely will not look again. The only other Euro dealer who regularly trades in this kind of thing is kpemig,
and I have bought from them, but now I am out of the market. Kpemig might have 2 - 3 radios and some cables and such in their periodic fixed price catalog sales, no auction, so it
much surprised me to see such a large lot of things offered. A lot of those pack radios will go EU1200 - EU2000 I guess. I pile of 20 or so throat mics? I could use maybe 3 to complete
sets before I sell them, but I'm not going to bid. I want to lessen my projects, not get more involved. You never see this many radios and accouterments sold at one time, so I would
guess some collector, who did nothing but accumulate things, not really getting anything complete and display - ready, has dumped the whole lot. Interesting. I may be wrong, maybe
the economies are different in these times, but I expect actual sell prices to be, to use an overused expression, awe inspiring. I may be wrong.
